Day 7

Subject: You're the leader, [firstname], you're responsible!

Hey [firstname]!

Something that puts many people off of adopting a leadership role is the fact that they have to accept responsibility, not just for their own actions but for the actions of their followers, too.

In fact, I’d go so far as to say that whether you’re prepared to take responsibility or not is the deciding factor that makes you a leader or not.

But the thing is…

Nobody is perfect – not even me, and that’s saying something ;-) . You’re not perfect either, [firstname]. Nobody is.

So when you’re a leader you have to accept mistakes and failings – yours and your followers. Just do it. Take the flack if there’s any to be had, learn from past mistakes and move on. Don’t beat yourself up about it. Taking responsibility is the mark of a true leader.

Wow! We’ve covered a lot over the past week or so. Let’s just recap what we’ve learned:

We talked about whether you have the character traits that make a good leader. We covered the difference between strategy and tactics. I talked about delegating and covered what you should delegate and what you should keep for yourself. We covered motivation and out of the box thinking.

But you know what?

Within the confines of this short e-course I’ve only been able to scratch the surface of this fascinating subject. There’s a TON of stuff I just haven’t had the time to tell you about – like [CHAPTER HEADING OF YOUR CHOICE HERE] and [CHAPTER HEADING OF YOUR CHOICE HERE] for example. I cover them (and much more) in my leadership guide. It’s still available, but not for much longer. Grab your copy RIGHT NOW from [link to sales page] before it’s too late.

To your success!
